Tom Contreras

CEO

Tom Contreras became President & CEO of Texas Security General Insurance Agency, LLC in 2003. Tom began his insurance career in 1988 after graduating from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas with a BBA in Finance/Risk Management. He also received an MBA in Management from our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio in 1995.

Beginning in 1988, Tom worked for Foremost Insurance Company, American Modern Insurance Group then in 1997; Tom joined Aegis Security Insurance Co. in anticipation of becoming a partner in TSGA in the year 2000.

Tom has been married to Leti for over 31 years and they have 2 children. Chris is 29 and a graduate of St. Mary’s University (BBA Finance/Risk Management), was a member of the golf team and played mini-tours as a professional and Kelly is 25,  attended St. Mary’s University (BBA Finance/Risk Management) and was a 2-time All American on the women’s golf team.

Tom enjoys golfing, hunting and fishing during his leisure time and time at his south Texas ranch on his Caterpillar tractors.

Greg Riedel

Executive VP

Greg Riedel is the Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Texas Security General Insurance Agency, LLC. He assumed the role in July of 2025 after a 15-year career at USAA, where he most recently led a 550 person Agency Sales and Service organization across the P&C insurance space. In addition to his Agency experience, Greg also served as Deputy Chief of Staff to the CEO, Senior Marketing Officer to the Life Insurance company and Product Line Leader for Life insurance, and several other roles at USAA.

Greg began his career in marketing and product leadership, building deep expertise in customer engagement, risk management, and distribution strategy. He earned his BBA from the University of St. Edward’s in Austin, his MBA at the University of Texas in San Antonio and later completed executive leadership training in partnership with several national insurance and business organizations.

Greg has a strong commitment to civic leadership and has served on nonprofit boards, including SAMMinistries, and is a participant in the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership San Antonio program, Class 49. He and his wife, Andrea, have been married for over 20 years and have two sons: Luke, 17, a high school junior passionate about engineering and motorsports, and Bryce, 13, an avid soccer player and martial artist. Greg enjoys Mixed Martial Arts, running, and golfing, and never turns down a chance to explore the outdoors with his family.

Jesse Gonzales

VP of Operations

Jesse Gonzales serves as the Vice President of Operations, bringing over 32 years of leadership experience in the financial industry, including more than 18 years of expertise in the insurance sector.  As a seasoned executive, Jesse is a proven leader with a strong track record of driving organizational change and delivering sustainable, profitable financial results.

Known for his proactive leadership style, Jesse is dedicated to fostering continuous improvement within his teams and the organization.  He is passionate about creating business growth through strategic decision-making, process optimization, and building high-performing teams that consistently exceed expectations.

Jesse is a graduate of The University of The Incarnate Word, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Management.  He also holds a Master’s Degree in Organizational Development, further enhancing his ability to lead with a strategic focus on organizational success and team cohesion.

Jesse’s commitment to excellence, coupled with his deep industry knowledge and educational background, makes him an invaluable asset to the organization, where he continues to shape a culture of success and innovation.

Hector Collazo

Senior VP P&C

Hector Collazo joined Texas Security General Insurance Agency, LLC in 2023 as Senior Vice President – Property Casualty. Hector began his insurance career with The Travelers in 1983 after graduating from The University of Texas at San Antonio in December of 1982 with a BBA in Information Systems/Accounting. Hector has over 40 years of Commercial Property/Casualty Underwriting, Management, and Sales experience. He has held leadership positions with Texas International Insurance Group, Myron F. Steves, and Burns and Wilcox.

Hector and his wife Brenda have been married 43 years and have 3 children. Hector Collazo Jr. is a graduate of Feik School of Pharmacy at The University of Incarnate Word and is a Pharmacy Manager with HEB in San Antonio. Cynthia holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master in School Administration from The University of Texas at San Antonio and is an Associate Principal with Judson Independent School District. Cristen is a Cosmetologist and a housewife raising two young children at home.

Hector loves going out to the movies and enjoys having nice dinners with his wife. He loves spending time on weekends with his family and going to his grandchildren’s swim, dance, soccer, and baseball events. He enjoys gardening and grilling out on weekends.

Lorrie Cheshier

VP Commercial Lines

With over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry, Lorrie joins us as Senior Vice President. In her new role, she will lead our Commercial Lines Underwriting Team, driving the production of specialty commercial insurance across Texas.

Lorrie brings a wealth of underwriting expertise and proven leadership. From her early days as a line underwriter to executive roles, she has consistently delivered on production, profitability, and innovation. She’s played a key role in developing cutting-edge insurance products and tech solutions, as well as building and mentoring high-performing teams.

Her deep industry service includes leadership roles with the Texas Surplus Lines Association and the Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas, where she served as Chairwoman. Lorrie’s passion for specialty insurance continues to shape a stronger Texas economy and inspire the next generation of industry professionals.

Carolyn Fey

VP Personal Lines

Carolyn Fey joined Texas Security General Insurance Agency in 2016 and holds the position of Vice President of Personal Lines. She brings 20+ years of personal lines insurance experience and joined the TSGA team in 2016. She graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio, with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. After graduating she entered the insurance industry working for American Modern Insurance Company the claims department for over twenty years working her way up into the position of Regional Claims Manager overseeing claims adjusting teams in Texas and Oklahoma. Carolyn is dedicated to customer service and she keeps our TSGA team focused on our motto of being “Better Every Day”.

Carolyn and her husband Dennis have been married for 23 years and have 2 children. The oldest, Kyle is now a firefighter and their youngest Wyatt will graduate from A&M with a Wildlife and Fishery Management degree in 2022.

Her favorite thing to do include fishing, boating and camping with family and friends.

Teresa Escobar

Business Performance Analyst

Teresa is a Senior Staff Accountant at Texas Security General Insurance Agency (TSGA), where she helps manage the accounting team. She joined TSGA in June 2013 and has assisted in developing efficiencies within the department to meet the growing demands of the company. Teresa values her teammates, has a “can do” attitude, and takes pride in being part of a team that strives to be “better every day”.

She graduated from Baylor University in 2005, with a BBA in Marketing and International Business. After graduation she continued her education at Texas A&M – Corpus Christi where she focused on receiving a Certificate in Accounting. Before joining TSGA, Teresa worked in public accounting for five years, specializing in auditing and taxation. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising, supporting her nieces and nephews in their activities, and spending time with family and friends.
